Warm weather=warm weather treats!
We've had a nice few days of great weather. The temperatures reached around 80 degrees and it was definitely time to get the treats from the freezer. The boys ask for Popsicles and Marry me bars often and I usually say no when the weather is so cold. And today seemed like a perfect time to sit outside, enjoy something yummy, and enjoy each other. Everyone was happy!
Modeling
What a fun afternoon Tyler and I had. It was the annual "Go Red for Women" luncheon at the Lantern Lodge and this year Tyler and Bea were models for "Bellies and Bottoms".
I was exactly sure how it was all going to work out, but I have to say I was pleasantly surprised. The two of them were second in line and walked up to the stage holding hands. They did a great job standing in place, smiling, and being patient as information was read aloud about them. When Tyler was introduced as Bea's cousin, she leaned over and gave him a kiss...too cute. The entire place let out a big "awwwww" at the same time!

Disney on Ice
Willa was able to get the entire gang some tickets to "Mickey and Minne's Great Adventure" Ice Show at the Giant Center. All week long, I would give the boys a clue in the morning and they'd try to guess what the Saturday surprise was. It was finally Thursday when they figured it out with a little bit of help and were thrilled to be able to go.
We had perfect seats at the end of a row by the exit with plenty of room to move around. (I think it was section 101, row w for future reference)
Bea had the most adorable face when the characters came onto the stage. And Matty wanted to stay with Baca the whole time (which was very nice because Adam wasn't there and I had all three boys with me!). Both Tyler and Matty seemed mesmerized and Millie was lunging forward enjoying all the action too!

rolling time
Little Teddy was hanging out with Tyler and I after some quiet time. We noticed he was starting to move his shoulder over to one side and I explained to Tyler that he might be trying to roll for the first time. So, the two of us sat there and cheered him on and on and on when all of a sudden...
it started happening in slow motion...
Teddy actually rolled over from his belly to his back!!! And we got to witness it...super cool!
Tyler was all excited and jumping up and down and Teddy was smiling and laughing at Tyler. It was a very sweet moment. Tyler kept saying "it's such a big deal, Mommy" and then he came up with the idea of giving Teddy a "super" bottle for dinner! I thought it was hilarious and a great idea, so that's just what we did!

Happy Easter!
What a wonderful Easter weekend we had with the entire freer family. We arrived at the beach Friday morning with a very successful first long drive as a family of five. Peter and his gang were Lready there and we jumped right in and started playing all sorts of fun games. We somehow got the boys to have some quiet time and then Zach and some of the guys and I played a great game of hockey. That afternoon, we made paint and all the kids painted the driveway and road. It was a lot of fun and and a nice way to enjoy the beautiful weather. Saturday was filled with baking a bunny cake, rice krispies eggs, running, playing, and our official Easter dinner. Last year we decided to have the big meal Saturday night instead of rushing around sunday. Tyler, Julia, Matty, and Bea had their own special "kid" table and seemed to really enjoy it! Julia and Tyler kept getting the giggles and were talking a ut hairy rocks and pee and poop. It was very silly but so wonderful to see them getting along so well. It was also the first time all five of the "big" kids slept in the third floor together. They may not have slept as well as in their own beds but it sure was fu. To hear and see them all together. We had to go up there a few times but eventually everyone actually fell asleep! I actually kind of surprised. Sunday morning was filled with excitement, egg hunts, candy, and more silliness. Matty was all excitd he woke up at 5:30 and Adam quickly went up to get him in hopes of not waking anyone else. However, tyler was so so so excited for the bunny that he was awake, had to go pee and then Julia woke up too. Anyway, we were able to keep them upstairs until about 6:15ish. All the baskets were lined up all in a row with each receiving a special note from the bunny. The kids loved it! We had a great morning.
Sadly, church was a different story. In the very beginning of mass something happened to Tyler and he got all upset about a sticker and things went down hill for there. Unfortunately, Adam had to take him out of the church. They tried to return and Ty couldn't get himself together and missed the rest of mass. Needless to say, Tyler got in a lot of trouble and had to return back to the we which house and apologize to the entire family among other things. Teddy was perfect and in my arms the entire time. He had a bottle, the spent most of the mass giggling and smiling and then fell asleep. Loved it. Matty was great reading his book and being with Baca and Bea. He was really so good. We stopped at the beach for a quick picture after mass and Matty was allowed to play a bit. I had to stay I the car with a screaming, crying Tyler. Fun. Without dwelling on it too much, it was really very sad to me but a perfect storm of too little sleep and too much sugar. Oh well, hopefully he learned. Thank goodness, Tyler and Matty and Teddy all took a great nap and we ended the day as a family on the beach enjoying each other and all that we're blessed to have.i am so glad we ended the day the way we did. My heart was filled with love and my soul was extremely thankful for the year we've had. Happy Easter!

Playdate/girlfriend
Today was a big day for us. Tyler had his first Playdate with a girl from school that he talks about all the time. And the resin why it was so significant for him was because it's his first Play date with his own friend that he made completely on his own and I think it's so cool and fun. Tyler has been asking every day since I told him she could come to our house if it was the day Whitney was coming. When he woke up today, he was in a great mood and was clearly excited for her to come. And honesty, i was too because i don't know her very well and was a bit curious to see the two of the together. She arrived at 10:00 and both Tyler and Matty were thrilled (as was Whitney according to their mom and came a bit early because she couldn't wait any longer!). The morning went so, so well and all three kids were playing and laughing together the whole time. They tried a craft, played with the kitchen, played in Tyler's room (with her shoes and the stuffed animals), sang songs, had a snack, and all in all had a great time. The boys both wanted her to stay and she didn't want to leave....I would consider it a success! He's already asking for the next time!
