2-hour delay, snow time, and date with a dear friend

I LOVE mornings like today! It's hard to get much better than this; I woke up for an early morning workout and as I was leaving the house at 5:15, Adam was getting ready to go outside and clear the 5 inches of fresh snow from the driveway. By the time I returned, the driveway was cleared, Matty was awake, and the three of us had a nice breakfast while Tyler was still sleeping. Ty finally woke up around 8:20, rushed downstairs to listen to Uncle Patrick on the radio for Bologna Fest and then had a quick breakfast because he and we wanted to go outside and play. We didn't have that much time outside but just enough to make tunnels, play with the dump truck, drive the go-cart around, and make snow angels. I dropped Tyler off at school for a 10:55 start and then met Meghann at the Market for a snack. And she shared the most wonderful news with me....a baby is on the way!!! I am so thrilled for the two of them and incredibly amazed at the progress she's made in the past few years. What a blessing. I just finished watching Rachael Ray and can hear Matty starting to talk. My time's up and I still have a huge smile on my face from the great news and the great morning with the family. I love these kind of days!
