Bunk Beds and Superman
We were celebrating the new year at the beach with Grammy and Baca. During one of our meals and out of no where, Tyler said "I have an idea. When I turn 4 I'm going to start sleeping in bunk beds and when I turn 6 I'm going to be superman." And ever since this proclamation he brings it up at least once during the day in some form or another and seems set on both. His idea for superman is to live in outer space so he can keep an eye on everyone in the entire world and when they need help then he'll fly in to save them. Oh, and he told me "Mommy, when you grow up you can be a rocket ship driver and we can be together in outer space." That cracked me up!!! Tyler's been asking me lately what I am going to be when I grow up and he doesn't seem convinced that I am "grown up and chose to stay with you and be your Mommy all the time." He just sort of looks at me with this funny face and says "no Mommy, when you grow up to be really big then you can be the rocket ship driver." And I just smile and go along with his imagination. I'm just proud he has such high expectations for himself by wanting to save and "protect the whole world"(!!!). I love it!
